Nikolai Pozdniakov

Nikolai Pozdniakov was fascinated with photography since his early childhood. However his photography only took off at his early teens after moving to the United States with his family.  His ever present interest in new technologies led him to digital photography and in it he found his true calling.

Nikolai experienced in many different styles of photography from portraits to wildlife honing his skills all the while.  However, his talent was most vividly revealed in the landscape and cityscape photographs. As a New Yorker, Nikolai draws inspiration from the city around him.  His works are testament to its beauty. He tries to capture it spirit and present it to the world.  At the same time Nikolai believes that people should not loose touch with more primitive side of their nature.  This is why his excursions from the city are not rare.  On these trips his camera captures nature’s splendor.  Theses images are the products of the desire to preserve and share with the world the beauty that he witnesses.

Nikolai is an active member of the large online community of photographers.  The purpose of this group is to help all its members to improve their technical skills. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with others, while always happy to advance his own. He is also a volunteer photographer for the Fort Wadsworth and the resent winner of their annual photo contest.
